| David LawrenceDavid
Lawrence, M.Ed is a urban educator in the Ohio market. He is a graduate of University of Cincinnati
and he recieved his masters in Educational Leadership from Wright State
University. He has over 15 years of
experience in urban education; in which 10 were spent in the classroom actively
engaged in applying proven research based instructional strategies and 5 years
in administration. Mr. Lawrence is
particularly adept at building relationships with students and creating and
maintaining a high performance, academic achievement-based building culture by
making expectations clear to staff and students and putting in place internal
process and procedures to support the ongoing implementation of those
expectations.
He has
played a central role in going in to struggling schools and turning them around
with his no nonsense, focused approach to educational. His educational philosophy is that
"Education should be used to eradicate social inequality." By focusing on research-based best practices,
classroom instructional practices, teacher content knowledge and student
engagement, Mr. Lawrence, has found the keys to academic success on a building
level. "This can be duplicated in
other schools around the country so long as the building leader possesses a
dogged determination to stay the course and isn’t stifled by fading bureaucrats
retelling war stories about their distant careers," says David.
